Health and safety at work is important and new legislation is being introduced at an ever increasing pace. As both an occupational hygienist and a safety adviser, I can offer a wide range of services and draw on my extensive experience to help you to manage health and safety in your company.
My services include:
- COSHH assessments, air monitoring, local exhaust ventilation examinations and tests, advice on working practices and improving engineering control measures;
- Noise assessment, specification of appropriate hearing protection and advice on how to make your workplace quieter;
- DSE (display screen equipment) assessments, advice on how to achieve the minimum legislative requirements and reduce the risk of eye strain and work-related upper limb disorders (otherwise known as RSI) to computer users and others;
- Audits whether of your whole safety management system or just part of it;
- Risk assessments as required by the 1999 Management Regulations, not forgetting the special needs of any young employees and those who are pregnant or new mothers;
- Training, particularly in the important area of risk assessment, whether under the 1999 Management Regulations or a more specific areas, such as the use of hazardous substances or display screen equipment; and,
- Contract services to provide regular, specialist support for your management of health and safety.
